LEGO Daily Signalhorn 76178 Beleuchtungsset

Just wanted to highlight a few ideas I had that I was rather proud of:

1. Electro using his electricity to engulf citizens within a flaming inferno, lol. You will need to find the correct bricks from Lego, but the flicker board does an outstanding job of simulating a crackling, burning fire.

2. War Machine a.k.a. Captain Rhodes = For his Mini Gun that is attached to his right shoulder, I used one of your rotating bit lights to simulate a turning wheel as it's firing.

3. I used (2) multi-effect boards. One to simulate Electro's electricity and one for Dr. Dooms energy blasts. Having the ability to slow down/speed up the effect that is selected on the board, is absolutely magnificent. Kudos to whoever brainstormed that lovely tool.

4. I'm probably most proud of how I inserted Magneto into the mix, with him ripping the top half of the "News Stand" off to eliminate Electro.

5. I modified two pairs of your yellow light blasters to mimic submachine guns. Essentially all I did was trim the front muzzle off of the weapon so that you could see the light flashing from more angles than just from the front side.

This was my second LMB kit after the nearly perfect Sanctum Sanctorum. Unfortunately, this one was not as good as the Sanctum.

First thing, this kit IS NOT a bad kit (if you just check my rating), I just remove two stars for the following reasons :

- holes and spare parts: LMB gives some spare parts to replace some bricks from the original set. That's great... However, it would has been perfect if the color was the correct grey! The spare parts are darker (see my picture). Another problem, some removed bricks are not replaced. The result is that some "holes" are unfilled with extra bricks when set the light kit has been installed. I added many 1x1 grey bricks to fill these holes.

- bad cable management: contrary to the Sanctum, there are some bad cable magement. At some points, cables are clearly visible or, worst, go through door frame preventing it to close. Some simple adjustments could however solve most of these problems.

Based on the price of the kit, I was expecting more than what I got.

For someone who would just see the result, they would certainly be amazed but knowing the price of the kit, these problems can't be ignored.

Bit intimidated with this being my first lighting experience, yet it worked! End result is so impressive!
